These beautiful porcelain urns are one-of-a-kind works of art!
- Each piece is thrown individually on a potter’s wheel by Jerry Davis who has over 35 years of experience. No molds are used, so sizes and crystal patterns will vary slightly.
- Each piece is glazed and fired to 2300˚ F, with the ever-elusive crystalline glaze. By holding the cooling phase, crystals are formed from the glaze itself.
- Crystal patterns are natural formations that range from small spots (secondary crystals) to large “macro” crystals that are 1-2 inches in diameter.
- The brass base and finial on the lid are solid brass that has been burnished and lacquered (sealed).
- Glue may be used to seal the lid.
COLOR OPTIONS:
There are a variety of colors to choose from. Click on the urns below to view a larger close-up shot of each piece showing you the color and crystallization more clearly (these will open in a new browser window). Color options not shown include: Green and Teal. Once we have pictures of those colors, we will post them here.
URN & FORM OPTIONS:
There are 2 types of pieces to choose from: the Standard Urn (like what you see above in the color options), and the smaller, Keepsake Urn. Each type comes in either a 'Tall' or a 'Round' form. Since each piece is unique, the actual sizes will vary on every creation. Therefore, the sizes listed below are all approximations which are still very close to what the final pieces end up being.

Here are 2 examples of the Keepsake Urn - a tall in white and a round in gold.
